The Big Red Box Project is a 24/7 emergency food service initiative that places "mini-pantries" on the east side of Indianapolis to combat local food insecurity.

The project at Good Shepherd UMC offers an accessible food box stocked with essentials for those in emergent need, including the homeless, elderly, families, and children.

Our congregation actively operates the Big Red Box located at the front of the Church through food drives and donations, providing a consistent source of nutrition for the community. The box is filled once a day by volunteer members, at differing times of day.
